Get a taste of island life this weekend with a getaway to Kelleys Island for the annual Islandfest Celebration.
Expect the island to be packed with locals and visitors, enjoying musical entertainment, fabulous food and an occasional drink or two. Watch as people line up at The Village Pump for their famous Brandy Alexanders, lobster chowder and Lake Erie perch. Don’t miss out on a strawberry shot from Bag the Moon, and make sure to get a delicious piece of pizza at the Caddy Shack. And that’s just the beginning!
How to Get There:
Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line – This vehicle and passenger ferry service out of Marblehead offers a short 20 minute boat ride.
Jet Express – This passenger-only catamaran has two dock locations: Port Clinton and Sandusky.
FYI: Plan ahead. If you want to stay on the island, make sure you have a reservation. If you’re returning to the mainland, make sure to purchase a ticket ahead of time. Don’t miss the boat! Accommodations for Kelleys Island and other mainland options can be found here.
