The Moving Wall - Traveling Vietnam Wall Display - Comes to Ohio's Lake Erie Shores & Islands!

“The Moving Wall” is a half-sized replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It went on display for the first time in October of 1984. Two structures of “The Moving Wall” now travel the United States April – November, spending about a week at each location.

This moving wall will be on display in Elmore, Ohio August 9-13, 2012. On the morning of Thursday, August 9, a motorcycle escort will be set-up at the old Baumann Auto lot on Buckeye Blvd. (in front of the Municipal Building) in Port Clinton to take the wall to Elmore. The motorcycle escort “parade” will begin at 10 am and will head west on SR 163 through downtown Port Clinton, downtown Oak Harbor, and downtown Genoa then down SR 51 and continue on to Elmore, arriving at approximately 11:15 am. Anyone with a motorcycle may participate. If interested, meet at the lot in front of the Municipal Building in Port Clinton on the morning of August 9 for the 10 am departure.

Opening ceremonies will take place at 3 pm on Thursday, August 9 in Elmore.
