A brass quintet from "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band will perform during the Rutherford B. Hayes Library & Museums Centennial Celebration. Fremont native Master Gunny Sgt. Amy Horn, a French Horn player, is a member of the quintet. The band was established in 1798 by an act of Congress, and it is believed to have played at every presidential inauguration since Thomas Jefferson took office. The band's mission is to provide music for the president of the United States and the commandant of the Marine Corps. The band will also play during the Centennial Ceremony on Sun May 29.
