Huron

Nickel Plate Beach, one of the area’s largest public swimming beaches, is located just east of the Huron River. The grounds include a picnic shelter and tables, grills, benches, portable restrooms, volleyball courts, and playground equipment.
INSIDER TIP: Bring your own bean bags and/or paddles/balls to play the BRAND NEW in 2016 outdoor ping-pong tables and corn hole boards. Or, paddles/balls may be purchased from the gate attendant.

Kelleys Island

Kelleys Island State Park Beach is a popular beach on the shores of Lake Erie with kid-friendly, gradual water depth. This 100-foot stretch of sand certainly isn't the biggest, but it may be one of the loveliest.
INSIDER TIP: Kayak rentals are available right on the beach for some added water fun! Kelleys Island’s beach is a great place to find beach glass also.

Lakeside

The beach at Lakeside is a great location to sunbathe and swim on hot summer days. Swimming lessons are offered on weekdays for all ages. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the week. Gate fee required Memorial Day-Labor Day.
INSIDER TIP: Just next to the beach there is a Children’s Splash Park which features a pool for ages 3 and under and a splash pad for ages 3-12.

Marblehead

East Harbor State Park

Thousands of visitors frequent this 1,500-foot sandy beach. A bathhouse is on site complete with flush toilets, showers, and changing areas. Lifeguards are typically present weekends only.
INSIDER TIP: East Harbor State Park also features 11 different hiking trails and programs are offered by the park naturalist on weekends throughout the summer season.

Sandusky

Stretching out for approximately one mile along Lake Erie, the beach and its cooling breezes were Cedar Point's first attractions more than 140 years ago. Play volleyball, build a sandcastle, or just soak up the sun. It is exclusively available to Cedar Point Amusement Park, Soak City waterpark, Cedar Point Resorts guests and Season and Platinum Passholders.
INSIDER TIP: Stay through dusk Friday, July 15 - Sunday, August 14 for Cedar Point Nights – a “hot summer night” beach party. Enjoy extended park hours, beach games, music, fireworks and more.

Vermilion

Let the cool waters of Lake Erie splash on your feet as you stroll on this sandy beach, featuring an observation platform, a concession stand, and the Vermilion Lighthouse. Shops and restaurants are nearby.
INSIDER TIP: No need to pack your car full of beach stuff! This beach offers chair and umbrella rentals as well as a mobile snack bar.
