150-acre Great Egret Marsh Preserve boasts classic Lake Erie marshland, blanketed each summer with water lotus and teaming with wildlife. The preserve is a haven for waterfowl and wading birds--including great egrets, which can congregate there in abundance. Visitors will find opportunities for bird watching, fishing from the trails, 1.2-mile hiking loop, kayaking, and canoeing. Small boat launch for kayaks and canoes only. ADA accessible for the first 0.4 miles of walking trail (from parking lot to first overlook). Year-round, 24 hrs.
