Honey Point Wildlife Area is located in the extreme southeastern portion of North Bass Island. The wildlife area is adjacent to North Bass Island State Park and is not accessible by road. A small wetland area located in the center of the protected site, known as Smith's Pond, provides nesting areas for waterfowl and habitat for shorebird and songbird populations. This area is accessible for fishing, hunting, trapping, and wildlife viewing. Paddlers may access the shore. Swimming is prohibited. Transportation to the island is by private boat or aircraft only.
