Lucien M. Clemons Park
Location & Visitor information
Acquired in 2016 through a combination of grants and donations, Marblehead's newest park is named for a native who was recipient in 1875 of the first United States Coast Guard Gold Lifesaving Medal. The park preserves over two acres of green open space and three acres of submerged land. A paved walking path rims the protected inlet, which serves as a stop on the Lake Erie Islands Water Trail. Future habitat restoration and the addition of benches and picnic tables will make it an ideal setting for passive recreational activities and bird watching.
