Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve and State Nature Preserve

This 573-acre reserve is one of Ohio's best remaining examples of natural estuary. The estuary serves as a field laboratory where scientists can study this naturally functioning system where land and Lake Erie join. Large parking area, trails, restrooms, drinking fountain, birding checklist, and observation area. Preserve trails open year-round, daily 8 am-5 pm. Visitor center open Memorial Day-Labor Day, Tues-Fri 9 am-4 pm, Sat-Sun 1-5 pm; Labor Day-Memorial Day, Tues-Fri 1-4 pm.
