In commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812, the Hayes Museum presents an exclusive exhibit detailing how Northwest Ohio was pivotal in turning the War of 1812 from a defeat to victory. Artifacts and manuscripts from the Hayes Presidential Center Collections, area museums and historical societies, and the private collection of Lou Schultz offer insights into the war's battles fought on the Ohio frontier.

The 3rd annual Main Street Port Clinton Walleye Festival gets underway at picturesque Waterworks Park (Perry Street) on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie in Port Clinton. An array of free live concerts, kids fishing derby, parade, educational programs and activities, carnival rides, and more than 130 vendors from around the nation help make this event one of Ohio's premier outdoor weekend celebrations. Never in short supply, delicious food and beverages will be enjoyed by all. This is the perfect summer kick-off!
