"Dressed for Life: First Ladies & Red Dress Collection" Exhibit

More than a half dozen red dresses worn by First Ladies are displayed along with celebrity dresses from New York City's annual "Red Dress Collection" Fashion Show. The show is part of "The Heart Truth," a national awareness campaign focused on women's heart health. Included in this exhibit are dresses worn by First Ladies Pat Nixon, Betty Ford, Carolyn Harrison, Rosalyn Carter, Laura Bush, and Lucy Hayes. Celebrity dresses, by top international designers, include those worn by Robin Roberts, Heidi Klum, Emmylou Harris, and Venus Williams. A series of women's heart-health awareness programming is planned in conjunction with the exhibit.

Built in 1821, the Marblehead Lighthouse is an active navigational aid to the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes. Climb 77 circular steps to the top. Tours every 15 minutes to the top of the Marblehead Lighthouse, with the last tour beginning 15 minutes before closing time (weather permitting). Museum is opening during all lighthouse tours and entry is free. Lighthouse may be closed during periods of rain, storms, high winds or severe weather.

Shooters, including aspiring new shooters, are invited to take advantage of a new opportunity to do practice shooting on Tue and Thurs evenings at the Camp Perry Marksmanship Center air gun range. The Camp Perry 80-point, 10-meter air gun range is fully equipped with electronic targets that accommodate air rifle, air pistol, or National Match Air Rifle shooting. Instructors and shooting equipment are available at the range.

This "how-to" demo with Chef Fayerweather includes history of sushi and sashimi, sushi vocabulary and other sushi-related topics, and the inner workings of Asian culture. Sample three amazing sushi rolls along with select wines from Wine Trends. Wine will be available by the bottle as well. The gardens will open at 5 pm for attendees to wander and enjoy. Space is limited; reservations required.
