SHORES & ISLANDS OHIO, May 28, 2025 --- The third-annual Shores & Islands Ohio Media Marketplace successfully took place on May 15, 2025 at Sawmill Creek Resort, bringing together key players in the tourism and media industries for a day of collaboration, networking, and destination storytelling.
This year’s event featured 28 S&IO partners showcasing their offerings to a curated group of 43 qualified media professionals, joined by additional guests for a total of 61 attendees. The Marketplace served as a valuable platform for media to connect directly with destination representatives, fostering new relationships and laying the groundwork for future travel coverage.
In addition to the Marketplace, 30 media attendees attended a VIP event at Cedar Point and 18 media attendees applied to participate in Friday FAM (familiarization) tours, offering a firsthand look at the region’s unique attractions, culture, and hospitality.
Tour participants had the opportunity to visit such locations at Put-in-Bay, African Safari Wildlife Park, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, Ghostly Manor Thrill Center, Beagle Bay Knot Works, Lake Erie Arms, Quarry Hill Winery, and more. Just over 10 days post-event, the collective participants have posted more than 75 times on social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook with a combined reach of 34,000!
