Morning: Begin your trip with a tour of Schedel Arboretum and Gardens. This 17-acre hidden treasure showcases more than five different types of gardens, plus annual beds and ponds. It also is home to The Blair Museum of Lithophanes and rotating artwork.
Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting at Chateau Vineyard & Winery while overlooking the vineyards.
Afternoon: Spend time at The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums at Spiegel Grove. The 19th President of the United States’ 25-acre wooded estate is home to a Victorian mansion, museum, presidential library, tomb, and a mile of paved walking trails. The museum exhibits include interactive components and shares the story of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes while nearly all the artifacts and furniture in the 31-room Victorian Hayes Home are original to the Hayes family. This site is America's first presidential library and the forerunner for the federal presidential library system.
From there, travel to Cherry City Honey where your group can learn more about honeybees from a beekeeper and even participate in a hands-on activity.
Dinner: Experience a tasty dinner at Twin Oast Brewing. The farm-to-fermenter brewery offers a beautiful setting for your group to gather for a meal and partake in tastings of the craft beverages.
Morning: Start the day at Liberty Aviation Museum, home to Georgie’s Gal (a WWII B-25 Mitchell Bomber), a U.S. Navy WWII TBM Avenger, WWII PT-boat, and more. The museum not only collects war memorabilia, but it also has commercial vehicles, firetrucks and tools, and even items from the Titanic. At the museum, learn more about the Ford Tri-Motor airplane and its significance to the area while witnessing the restoration of one from 1929.
Next, venture to Lakeside Chautauqua. Celebrating over 150 years, this historic community sits along the shores of Lake Erie with beautiful views of the water. Here guests can shop ‘til they drop, participate in recreational activities such as miniature golf or shuffleboard, or enjoy unique educational or entertaining programming.
Lunch: While at Lakeside Chautauqua, grab a bite at one of the restaurants or work with their conference and event team to coordinate a catered meal. Something is sure to tickle your taste buds!
Afternoon: If you are looking for one last activity before you leave, take a walk on the wild side at African Safari Wildlife Park - home to giraffe, zebra, a rare albino white alligator, and much more.
