Birmingham

 

Birmingham, Ohio is along the Vermilion River valley, just south of Vermilion. This quiet village offers the amazing Schoepfle Gardens, a 70-acre arboretum containing 20 acres of topiaries, rose gardens, and garden paths. Forest hiking trails along the river are adjacent to the arboretum. Schoepfle Gardens offers a visitor center, tour tram, and children’s garden with working carousel. The three-acre Birmingham School MetroPark was once the site of a school and is now home to a playground and picnic area. Birmingham is near wineries and Common Ground Zipline Canopy Tours and home to the annual Birmingham Harvest of Antiques & Crafts each fall.
