SHORES & ISLANDS OHIO, September 20, 2023 --- Two new staff members joined the Shores & Islands Ohio team recently, while one transitions into a new role. Shores & Islands Ohio is the destination marketing organization for Erie and Ottawa counties.
Ben Simon of Milan has joined the organization as Marketing and Sales Director. He is responsible for developing and directing implementation of organization-wide initiatives that advance the narrative of the Shores & Islands destination and brand locally, regionally, and nationally in order to increase the number of visitors attracted to the destination for leisure, group, and event tourism. He oversees the Marketing and Sales team, which includes group sales, sports and events marketing, public relations, and social media. With more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, most recently Ben served as a Senior Account Executive for OUTFRONT Media. Nichole Wade of Sandusky recently joined the team in the role of Assistant Destination Experience Director. She is responsible for assisting the Destination Development & Experience Director with partner relations as well as welcome center activities and projects by supporting the Visitor Experience team. Nichole has more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, previously working as a Food & Beverage Manager with Great Wolf Lodge, Convention Center Operations Manager with Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, and most recently as an entrepreneur with her business, Violet Pineapple Balloons. Tiffany Frisch of Sandusky has been promoted to the role of Assistant Group Accounts Director. She is responsible for assisting the Marketing and Sales Director with all things related to group sales and marketing of the destination for groups.
