SHORES & ISLANDS OHIO, May 19, 2026 --- The new Put-in-Bay Dog Bowl is almost here, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most fun and unique weekends of the season. DockDogs will take over McCann’s Field with high-energy competitions all weekend long - and yes, you can still register your dog to compete. Watch (or join) as dogs race down the dock and launch into the water in three exciting events:
- Big Air (distance jumping)
- Extreme Vertical (high jumping)
- Spreed Retrieve (timed competition)
Whether you’re bringing a competitor or just coming to watch, this is a can’t-miss event for dog lovers.
We’re still wondering…how many dogs can we get on South Bass Island at one time? Make it a “four-legged family getaway” and get in the count! Several pet friendly accommodations, dining options, and activities are available both on and off the islands.
Spectators welcome. Dogs encouraged. Good times guaranteed!
