Places such as Mazurik Lake Erie Access Wildlife Area in Marblehead or Huron River Boat Access in Huron offer a spot to launch your boat as well as leave your vehicle while fishing. Not only does Shores & Islands Ohio welcome leisure anglers, but it is also a top destination for competitive fishing tournaments. Throughout the year, the region is excited to welcome the National Walleye Tour in April, the Mid-Ohio Catfish Trail in May, the King Kat tournament in June, and the Midwest Crappie Alliance Shootout in October, as well as others. We are proud to see the community support for these events as the incoming anglers look for lodging, restaurants, entertainment, bait, and even fuel.
Looking for a way to hear from the experts, check out new gadgets, and meet others in the fishing world? The Midwest Crappie Alliance will be hosting an Expo at the Cedar Point Sports Center from October 24th through October 26th in addition to their tournament. This event will be open to the public and FREE to attend. Whether you are a pro or just starting out, the show will have a variety of fishing vendors who are ready to share their products and expertise.
