The nation's top professional bass anglers are making their way to the Walleye Capital of the World, but this time, they're chasing bass.
From August 6-9, 2026, Major League Fishing's Bass Pro Tour Stage 7 comes to Lake Erie in Sandusky, bringing four days of world-class competition to one of the country's premier freshwater fisheries. Hosted by Shores & Islands Ohio in conjunction with the City of Sandusky, this prestigious event features 51 of the world's best professional anglers competing on the legendary waters of Lake Erie as they battle for valuable season points and a chance to finish the Bass Pro Tour season on a high note.
Unlike many local fishing tournaments, the Bass Pro Tour is a professional, invitation-only event. The field is made up exclusively of qualified Bass Pro Tour anglers, so there are no outside or public tournament entries accepted.
Early risers can witness the excitement of the daily Launch Ceremony at the Shelby Street Public Boat Launch from 6:45AM - 7:15AM, where the professional anglers depart for competition on Lake Erie.
While the competition takes place on the water, fans won't miss a moment of the action.
Experience the Free MLF Fishing Show & Watch Party
On Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, everyone is invited to attend the Free MLF Fishing Show & Watch Party at Paper District Marina in downtown Sandusky.
Beginning at 3PM each day, visitors can enjoy:
- A live watch party featuring the MLFNOW! broadcast on a giant screen
Free food for the first 100 fans each day- A fishing derby for kids and families (weather permitting)
- Casting competitions
- Giveaways and MLF merchandise
- Live music
- Top 10 angler interviews and trophy ceremonies
- Autograph opportunities with Bass Pro Tour finalists
- Free Zebco rod-and-reel combos for the first 50 children (14 and under) each day following the awards ceremony (while supplies last)
