Day One: Rally on the Runway in Port Clinton

Saturday, September 5, 2026

Strongman Champions League USA begins Saturday, Sept 5, during Labor Day weekend at Erie-Ottawa International Airport in Port Clinton. The competition will serve as the featured attraction during the inaugural Rally on the Runway, hosted in collaboration with the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, and Liberty Aviation Museum.

This free, family-friendly event will include a Touch-a-Truck experience, a prize scavenger hunt, food, beverages, and other activities. Rally on the Runway is scheduled from 12:00-5:00 PM, with the Strongman competition taking place from 1:00-4:00 PM. Visitors may even see a plane pull as part of the competition.

Day Two: Downtown Sandusky

Sunday, September 6, 2026

Competition continues Sunday, Sept 6, near the intersection of Columbus Ave. and Water St. in downtown Sandusky. Set against the Lake Erie waterfront, the second day will feature elite strongman athletes from around the world competing in the heart of the city.

Young spectators can get in on the action during the Sandusky Library Little Legends Challenge, held from 1:00-5:00 PM. Hosted by Sandusky Library in partnership with Strongman Champions League USA, the Future Champions Arena will feature free, hands-on obstacle stations inspired by challenges seen in strongman competitions. No registration is required.

Shores & Islands Ohio, the City of Sandusky, and the Greater Sandusky Partnership are bringing the international competition back to north-central Ohio for another year.
