The 15.9-acre Mazurik Access Area is located on the north side of Marblehead Peninsula just west of Lakeside. This site provides boaters and anglers direct access to Lake Erie by offering a four-lane concrete boat ramp, a protected boat bay/safe harbor, and an accessible fishing pier. Small mouth bass, walleye, white bass, and yellow perch are common fish species caught at Mazurik and in Lake Erie. By boat, Mazurik Access is just seven miles south of South Bass Island (Put-in-Bay). The parking area has 215 car-and-trailer spaces and 40 car-only spaces. The lot is paved and lighted and accessible 24 hrs. Other amenities include restrooms, a paved trail, and a small beach composed of large cobble and shell fragments.
