In Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores & Islands two of the area’s popular indoor water park resorts are open and welcoming guests for fall fun! Both Kalahari Resorts & Conventions and Great Wolf Lodge are following state and local health department directives and instituting above-and-beyond safety and cleanliness protocols in order to make your getaway a safe and memorable one. Check out some of the fall happenings at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions and Great Wolf Lodge:
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is offering great fall getaways, available with modified fall hours of Thursday Noon through Monday at 2 pm. It’s the season of pumpkin spice, fuzzy sweaters…and waterslides with the Fall Savings Package, which offers up to 40% savings on select dates. The new-in-2020 outdoor Great Escape Mini-Golf will remain open through the fall, as will the Safari Adventure Animal Park. Coming to the resort this fall is a delicious reboot of a local Sandusky tradition. The Sortino family has been serving up Italian specialties since the mid-1970’s at Sortino’s Little Italy. With its recent closure, Kalahari will continue to carry on the family’s legacy, serving Sicilian favorites to resort guests and local diners at the new Sortino’s Italian Kitchen, joining B-Lux Grill and Bar as another resort premium dining experience.
As a family-run business, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is committed to do what’s best for their guests and team. They want to ensure confidence in your getaway, so you can focus on family memories and not worry. Great Wolf Lodge is giving families the opportunity to celebrate Halloween this year with their annual Howl-O-Ween celebration. Many Howl-O-Ween favorites will return to lodge this season with added safety measures in place, such as a physically distanced Trick-Or-Treat Trail, UnBOOlievable Story Time, arts & crafts, and more. For the month-long celebration, the Grand Lobby at Great Wolf Lodge transforms into a spooktacular fall landscape with pumpkins, gourds, fall leaves, and other festive decor. Events in the Grand Lobby include a Monster Bash Dance Party where miniature ghosts and ghouls enjoy Howl-O-Ween songs that will make them move their funky bones. All events require advanced reservations to attend, with the dance party and story time using physically distanced marked viewing/participation areas for attendees. Save up to 30% on your stay with the Before Fall Leafs Package.
Great Wolf Lodge’s Paw Pledge program, a company-wide initiative to keep families healthy and safe while they play together at the indoor waterpark resort, was developed in conjunction with medical professionals, sanitization specialists, industrial engineers and public health officials. The program focuses on disinfection and sanitization, physical distancing, personal protection, and minimizing surface interactions in all guest areas across the resort.
